Does anyone know how to disengage the factory alarm on a 2001 Jetta GLS?

ok lets start.

go into your owners manueal., look for circuit breakers(fuse box??), locate corresponding breaker.
pull it
this is under your responsability.

There should be a kill switch underneath the dash board on the drivers side. If there isn't, you can always disconnect the cars battery and that should shut off the alarm.
