just look all of it up on a search engine like yahoo or google, or maybe ask.com, it will probably give you all of the info on that topic.

Agreed. The only defender that manages to do anything productive is Ramos. Pepe is a bit impulsive, and as you saw today, has a tendency to lose his mark. Also, let's be honest, he's dirty. Carvalho is getting up there in age. The weakest link is the left back. Marcelo can't defend and Coentrão is not composed. This criticism on Ronaldo, especially, needs to stop. It's not his fault Madrid can't keep a clean sheet. It appears that the above teams that you mentioned CAN do something Madrid can't.

I think it is the new trend in the past few years. Maybe the US businessmen started to notice how cult-like European football team supporters are like and decided that it is a market worth going in to. I think professional sports in US in general are in a slump, due to numerous reasons. Scandals such as steroids in baseball, brawl in the NBA, or recent cases of team relocated due to financial reasons, etc. The point is, due demo-socio-economical beckground to complicated to mention in this small space, the average people find it hard to support their local professional team, let alone feel a sense of belonging to them. All this led to an opening in the market for European football matches. The lack of talent and entertainment in MLS does help a little bit, so it will happen more often in the years to come. Sorry, I'm babbling...
To answer your other questions:
- try www.sportsguy.net, he is trying to support one English Premier League team this season, maybe you'll still find it in his page, unless they already put it in the archives, then you need a ESPN Insider pass.
- Since it is the only sport the Americans haven't invented or reinvented the English/European rules are the same with the "American" rules, which is the international rules. you can wikipedia it or look it up at www.fifa.com
-Once you now the rules, go to youtube for highlights and clips of players with skills, trust me, you don't really want to see the full games as a first timer :).

if u wanna learn tha rules of soccer go to wikipedia.com (it really does help if u don't kno about soccer) or u can just watch it nd learn. it's not really that hard to understand.
and if u wanna watch the EPL or any other men's premier league u can order Fox Soccer Channel, GOLtv, and they show it on ESPN or FSN sometimes too.
and no u weren't askin too many questions. =] hope i helpd...good luck!

Its called an exhibition game. Its been happening for the past couple of years now. My guess is that they are trying to promote soccer in the U.S so that they can gain higher ratings on T.V. You can search anywhere on the internet basically. Your best bet would be www.wikipedia.org. As for the channels to watch the games, you can catch those games on Fox Soccer Channel,GolTV, and ESPN. hope that helps

Those are exhibition games. They do it partly as their preseason preparations to give the players some match fitness and for the manager to assess his team and formulate his plans for the season.
The other reason being for the club to do publicity.
Many of these clubs are major Europeon teams looking to tap into the potentially lucrative US market.

When European teams come to the U.S. to play, it's called a pre-season friendly match.

Football clubs go on a tour, to another Country, before the start of the EPL. They have been doing this for quite a while now.
