i really havent played an online since diablo so i wanted to kno if anybody knew some of the great ones out.

It really depends on the type of game you're looking for. Do you want something pay-to-play, or are you looking for a free online game? Or are you looking for something like Diablo, where you pay for the game and get free online play?
If you're looking for something pay-to-play, then one of the most popular online games out now is World of Warcraft. There's also EverQuest II, or City of Heroes/City of Villains. I've played all except World of Warcraft, and they're all pretty good quality, and definitely will keep you busy.
For free online games, there's MapleStory, Knight Online, or Silkroad. The company that made Knight Online also has a few other free-to-play games, though I'm not sure what they all are now, as it's been awhile. MapleStory, though, has a bit of an anime/cartoon-like style to it, and it's pretty cute, if you don't mind the the usual moronic bullies that flock to free games.
If you're looking for something like Diablo (pay for the game and that's it), then try Guild Wars. There are also first-person shooter-style games out as well, like Call of Duty or CounterStrike (I think that's free online play? Been awhile...)
There are also several browser-based games out, like RuneScape, or Adventure Quest/Dragon Fable. Both are decent, though Adventure Quest/Dragon Fable are more geared toward solo play, I believe.

relies upon on what style. Shooters: battlefield 2, Unreal journey, Counterstrike, HALO for computing device,Painkiller. mindset: Starcraft, Command and triumph over video games, Empire at conflict. RPG: WOW, Guild wars, D&D on line. Racing: have not got any concept sorry. And thats approximately all i'm able to think of of at this 2nd.
