That all depends on the type of rental car that you need as well as how many miles you're planning to put on it. Also, I hope you know how to drive a stick shift as most rentals in Europe are stick. It's very very difficult to find a rental that's automatic. Also, plan on paying a lot of money for gas as it's about $5 per gallon in most of Europe.
