I tend to surround myself with honest people. It seems to be harder and harder to find friends who won't lie to you at some point. Am I naive to expect honesty and integrity?

You're not wrong, there a lot deshonest and hypercritical people in this world, but do not get discourage you will find those trueful friends.Just don't show the whole part of you until you really need too.

No, you should expect honesty and integrity from people who you call friends. If you are finding that the people you call friends are lying to you about things that matter, then perhaps you either need to 1) keep searching for better friends or 2) accept that people do lie sometimes. Overall, you should expect to be able to trust your true friends with your life.

No it's not a bad thing to want to have friends that you trust. It's better to have a few close friends that always have you're back and you trust then to have tons of friends but don't trust them and don't tell them anything. But almost everyone is going to mess up and lie to you at some time in thier life so have an open mind just because one of you're friends' lie to you once doesn't mean that you shouldn't ever trust them again. Unless it was a really bad or uncalled for lie then yes they are not worthy to be you're friends.

No trusting some people can be very good because i have known and trusted my best friend for 13 years and that is a really good thig but you should also see who they really are before u trust them with everything!!! you just dont want to jump in a lake if you cant swim and its the same way with people you want to make sure that they are really and truly your friends before you trust them completly! Expecting honstey just means that you treat others the way you want to be treated so in other words if your friends are not meeting up to your standerds than just give it some time but dont try to have only all-the-time honstey friends becasue it is okay to also have friends who arent totllay honest but make sure that 90% of the time they are!!

Its a good thing to know how to trust people. Being naive is another. You'd better be realistic and expect betrayal from some people. Don't blindly trust people. Let them earn your trust.

I know it's hard to find Good friends......That's why you have to hold on to the ones you have for dear-life! I look for people that are honest and truthful,as soon as I find out someone has been less than that I drop them.

Everyone lies sometime for one reason or another, if they're your friends and they lie, they are probably trying to protect you. and that's the truth. or is it....
