I'm going to college online. I've finished 2 classes, now I'm taking my 3rd and 4th. I'm doing poorly and don't understand and I don't have anyone to turn to for help. Should I just drop out and give up, or should I stick with it?

Stick with it - ask the professor for help. If the professor won't help, as some of the other people in class. Online classes are hard because you don't have that face to face interaction and you have to be really dedicated to the reading and class assignments (I took online classes and finally graduated with a master's). It will be worth it - promise!

You should stick with it. Must instructors have a time that you can call them to get extra help or maybe you can schedule it online. Depending on the class you take you can probably get extra help outside of the school. I know that it is frustrating to try and not suceed the way you want to.

It might not be anything that you are even doing - maybe it is the school. You could probably try your community college. Typically the classes are small and the instructors are very available.

Do you like the major? People often change their major until the find the right one. Are you still going out or staying home and taking your school work to heart? Do you work too much and not have the time or the energy for school work? Maybe you need a class room setting to catch what the teacher is throwing. Well bgood luck!

I had problem with online class and switched to regular class which was scheduled during night. My grade got better. I realize that being able to ask questions in person is very important and I will never take online class again. I know some of my friends do well with online classes but not me. You should try regular classes before you quit.

Any classes online require a lot of discipline and a clear focus of your goal. YoThe university should have an online help site to answer your questions. If you call, you should be able to get and instructor (during his/her office hours)

Don't drop out!!!!!!!! Switch what you're taking or work harder to understand (use google). Honestly...how far can you go without an education, it opens doors if you have anything

i would say stick with it, if you need try to take a traditional class where you can get more personal help if you need it, i kow it might be hard if you have to work or have kids but you'll be glad when you finish your degree.

It's up to you. Have you considered going to a college near where you live? This way, you can get the attention you want from the professor.
