depends on the bit rate you got them encoded at and how long your songs are really.. but.. at cd quality (128k) it works out a roughly 1 meg = 1 min

that depend on the song size and length u hav. on average, most songs come between the 3 and 5 mb range.. assume 4mb for calculation purposes. 250gb divided by 4mb comes to 62500 songs. take away 1500 to allow for larger files. ur talking abt +- 60000 songs.
btw.. a gud thumb rule is 1 minute=1 mb (for songs encoded at abt 128kbps bitrate)

Well a 250GB hard drive hold up to 1300 hours of digital music..
so i'm guessing close to that amount.
