I recently graduated from a 4-year university.

My average course-load was 15 hours a week. Ideally, you should be able to schedule your classes so that you are in class 5 days a week, for 3 hours a day. On the other hand, if you do not want to have class ever day, you might be able to arrange your classes so that you only have class 3 days a week, and on those 3 days, you would be in class for 5 hours.

I usually liked to arrange my classes so that they were back-to-back, from about 11 AM to 4 PM, so that I could have my mornings and evenings to study or relax.

Your actual course schedule will depend on the times that your courses are offered.

Hope this helps and best of luck!

Your day is very long. And your schooling is long as well. The first two years is all liberal arts stuff and some nursing courses. You will have to do clinical as well. Usually you have to attend school everyday. You dont say how old you are and how young your children are. I had children when I went for my RN and I chose to go to a community college for a few reasons. The first was financial. The second was the fact that I could do clinical at night. The third was that it was a quick way to get my RN. I am now back in school for a BSN and even part time it is hard. My advice is to look into all the schools near you, community (2 years) and university (4 yrs). If you are unemployed and your income is low, you may qualify for help. There are a lot of low interest loans out there too that you usually dont have to pay back until school is finished. Both community and 4 yr programs have long days, but the two year is quicker. I believe the average starting pay in the US for a new RN is somewhere near 20 an hour. It might be more. Good luck..

8AM bring coffee and stagger into class. Sip coffee, ace day's quiz. Fall asleep after reading the syllabus and memorizing the information content for the day. 8:55, desk partner wakes you up and you walk to the next class, refreshed and ready to go. 9AM start next class. 10AM break. 11AM next class, 12PM Break for lunch. 2PM next class, 4PM next class. 5PM study break. 6PM Dinner. 7PM study until 9PM. 9:30PM party until 1AM. 2AM stagger home to bed. Sleep until 7:30, alarm set so you make it to class on time.

I'm really kidding but you can structure your day how you want. Make sure you get the big important stuff to fit in your day, like studying and preparing for the next day, next week, tests, so you're not cramming all night for the tests. I recommend you visit a website like Flylady.net so you can figure out how to structure your day to fit your stuff in. If you structure your day around routines and make sure to STUDY and keep reviewing old information, you'll do fine.

On the other hand, if you have a photographic memory and make sure to look at the material, the first schedule will do as well.
