defiently try a libary, or if you don't have acess to a libary (like me) try a used book store.
i would recomend-
London by edward rutherford it is over 1000 pages of history from the view of people living it. very good of you like hisotyr or just in general. very long wided though. it is fairly old so a paper back should be cheap.
The witching hour by anne rice- this is the first in a very long winded series. good if you like horror. over 1000 pages. again it is fairly old so a paperback should be reasonale.
lord of the rings- very long and decent, espeiessily if you like fanatasy and can understand tolkien's writing. a very commonplace book so it should also be cheap.
the historian (someone else mentioned this i believe) - very long, i like it, a good twist on the dracular story, but not in paperback.
a lot of classics are not very long, but because of the writing seem longer than they actually are. these you can get really cheap, espessially at barnes and noble
try:
pride and predijuce
anything by orwell
the illiad and the oddessy (nice and long)
tess of the d'ubervillles
anything by dickens

You can't beat the price of borrowing the book from a library. It's free (just return it later). Walk around and you'll find lots of long books like Moby Dick, Gone With the Wind, Dr Zhivago, and many more.
Take a look at their book sale cart or used bookstore that most libraries have. For fifty cents to a couple of dollars you can get a good book. Great deal.

Um, no offense, but whoever answered "Wizard's First Rule," Goodkind sucks. But if you want something mindless, go with that one.
As a counter, I'll offer my own favorite fantasy, "A Game of Thrones," Book 1 of the A Song of Ice and Fire series by Gerge RR Martin. I know people who hate fantasy who love this book. It's well-written, gritty, and has very real characters. You may finish it within a few days though. It's over 600 pages, but it's just that good. I read it for the first time over a long weekend. It's actually not even the best in the series, but start with that one.
Oh, and I got my copy for $4.00, and you can probably find it cheaper than that on Amazon.

"The Tao of Pooh". Yes, that's Winnie the Pooh but the book has some very interesting in sites from a very interesting source. It's a quick and entertaining read. I know you asked for long but it's good filler.
If you like Horror, Anne Rice's "The Witching Hour" can't be beat! It's approx. 800 pages. Both are available in inexpensive paperbacks

One of the best books I have ever read was "I Know This Much Is True" by Wally Lamb. A book of almost 900 pages but I didnt want it to end. Hopefully you will enjoy this as well.

Lord of the Rings is excessively long, but it's long winded and sort of drags. The Shining is pretty long, and scary. I bought my copy for fifty cents at a used book sale.

THE HISTORIAN by Elizabeth Kostova....best book I've read in a while. It's quite long considering it took Kostova about ten years to write it and it's worth it!
