Although many native american children had been born before this, the first European child born in North America was named Snorri, and born to Norse parents shortly after 1000 A.D.

There were people in North American long before the 1400s or 1500s.
The first white person born in North America was Virginia Dare.
I hope this answers your question.

I'm sure the Virigina Dare answer is the one you wanted, but let's look at archaelogical history also:
Some estimates put Humans in the North America Continent over 50,000 years ago, widely accepted dates being 13,000 to 15,000 years ago.
Since there was an ice age after the 50,000 year mark, it's possible human life left North America to return again at the 10,000 to 15,000 year ago range.
So, to answer your question, the first person born in North America is unknown, and was probably named GRUNT or GRRRR.

Remember to be politically correct. Remember why native Americans are called such. I don't know who the first white person was after 1492. Who ever it was, it wasn't necessarily the VERY first white person as Vikings lived in what is now Canada for a few years in the early part of the second millennium.

The first person born in North America was probably sometime in the first century AD after people came over the Aleutian Islands from Asia and Russia.

Are you serious?????????
Natives were in North America before 1492 when Christopher Columbus sailed the ocean blue...natives are people. The world didn't start when white men came to North America and slaughtered innocent people to take their land and freedom.

And before the "native" Americans, who crossed the Bering Straits from Siberia after the last ice age receded, there were already people living on the American continent from BEFORE the ice age started (and their remnants exist only in the southernmost tip of Chile now).
You should be grateful to have had this opportunity to have your ignorance lessened. History didn't start with the people who went on to be the present majority in the USA - YOU WERE ALL EUROPEAN ONCE! Before us untold numbers of people existed without care or knowledge of the existence of the white man!

Excluding the Native Americans, wasn't it Virginia Dare? Not sure about the date.
