I OCCASIONALLY drink Red Bull or Monster. I never have had more than 1 can per day and about once a year at parties, I drink them for 2-3 days (but never more than 1 per day) I'm getting scared of all this bad stuff I am hearing about these drinks now. I also drink monster (again not more than 1 can per day) so am I safe?

When it comes to your body, no one can tell you what to do or what is best. You are doing the right thing by researching it!
So I will not tell you my opinion but rather give info as to your wise search! Since there is so much info out there that can be a headache, because of the arguements on each side.

Hope this makes it more easy to get your answers met!

Holes In Your Heart

Well, I have not heard about holes in the heart.
But I do one thing; red bull and all those other drinks are nothing more than high levels of caffine to ARTIFICALLY STIMULATE your metabolism so you stay awake and alert all day.

If you want caffine stimulation; drink Bustello cuban coffee. Pours out like molasses.

Of course, ALL those drinks also speed up your heart to eventually you end up with high blood pressure, strokes and heart attacks. But who cares? Life is short anyway! Drink up.
Same as smoking. Same as illegal drugs. Same as eating too much. Same as eating bad foods.

When you decide to NOT go this way; take up weightlifting. Heavy weightlifting. 15 minutes a day will race you up - naturally - higher than any of these drinks will. With no bad side effects.

This expert of yours----I guess he has a medical degree and specializes in cardiology and endocrinology. If not, maybe you should let him know that Red Bull is ok. But tell him that gatorade causes warts on his privates and energy bars can clog his small intestine. Might be good for laughs.

LOL, that's untrue. It will not put holes in your heart. But drinking too much of anything man-made is not good. The only 'myth' I know about Red Bull is this:http://www.snopes.com/medical/potables/redbull.asp

Next time he tells you that there will be holes in your heart, tell him that he needs to stitch them up for you :P

If you are questioning whether Red Bulls "puts holes in your heart"...then yes it does just that.

Stop moving, call 911, and tell them to fix your holes...especially the one that allows you to pro-create. Tell them to permenantly seal it!

I realy don't think that a product with such a potential for fatality would still be on the market. If you are that scared, check with your doctor, don't ask for a layman's opinion on Yahoo answers.
