The country is certainly ready for a female to become President. Hilary ain't the one however. Her true Marxist colors would be exposed if she ran for President and this country is not ready for Fidel Castro in drag.

I think she might have a chance. I think she can't do any worse than lots of men have. She isn't perfect. No candidate -- male or female -- will be. But she's intelligent and knows her way around the political arena at the highest level. I don't think it would take her long to hit the ground running as far as implementing plans. And as far as being the first woman, she's not exactly a fru-fru girly girl, so that kind of helps. I mean, I don't think she has any fear of getting into a pissing contest when necessary, and that's what it takes. So, I wouldn't be completely opposed to giving her a try. The truly interesting part would be seeing Bill Clinton serve as the first spouse. As a footnote: If George W. Bush is representative of how a man runs the country, I suppose I'd even be willing to let a chimp spend a few weeks in office. It couldn't get any worse.

No chance of ever being elected President. Would be incompetent. Because:
1. She is a phony and most Americans know this. She will not answer any tough questions. She avoids Fox News and real media like the plague. She has been caught on tape too many times showing her condescending ways and the new media: Fox, Rush Limbaugh, Hannity, etc. will expose this and play it over and over again.
2. Americans will never be duped again like they were under Pres. Bill Clinton. He was a phony and got away with it. Not anymore. The old media is losing more and more audience and there is an alternate source of information that does not make all Republicans look bad and all Democrats look good.
3. She has an ill-temperment. Just like Howard Dean.
4. A good female president would do the same things a competent male would. Leadership has nothing to do with gender.

I think that if you look at an electoral college map of the United States, Hillary Clinton can any state to change the outcome of the Kerry-Bush election in 2004. Any gains that she would make would be taken back from a possible Republican from a New England state. She would be what most Democrats are, a coastal winner. She could win the Northeastern states...a couple of the Upper Great Lake states, probably Minnesota and Michigan....and then the 3 on the West Coast....other than that...she cannot theoretically win enough votes to become President....and whether liberals like it or not....popular vote doesn't matter...and the Constitutional framers created it so that the Electoral College numbers decide who is President.

A female president would be amazing, but anyone but Clinton. She will do nothing for the United States but cause major problems. There are many popular female presidents around the world, The Chancellor of Germany, the president of Chile, etc. Having a woman in office would be something different and interesting to see because of the differences between how a man and woman could rule. (Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying ones better than the other, but it would interesting to see a female in a male-dominated world).

I think she will make a run for office. I hate to think that she has a chance of getting in the office, but this is an open election year, so anything is possible.
She will not make a good president. Her positions and programs are all too social and even left of basic liberalism. Ultimately she will get in office for one term and start all kind of touchy-feely government programs (costing billions) and then get out of office and blame the next president for her mistakes. She won't fess up to her mistakes either. She will blame Bush for leaving office with the country in a horrible mess that she couldn't fix in one term.

For it to happen, over 80% of American males would have to commit suicide or at least refuse to vote. I really think an Afro-American has a better chance. I'd have to know your definition of a good president. Too many recently have been the lackeys of the powers that paid for their election whether oil, media, banks or whatever. In any case a female would be no worse than a male at the job. Both Golda Mair (I apologize if misspelled), Margaret Thatcher and Indira Gandhi all did good jobs and I've probably missed a bunch of others.

I don't think she will be elected for the simple fact that too many Americans believe that if she was unable to keep her affairs in order in her own house... why should she be given the white house. Bill made a fool out of her...presidents and presidential candidates have been skewered for having far less egg on their face. The presidency is too important to take chances with. I dont have a problem with a woman prez...but not her.

One of my major fears is Hillary even running for president (and I still believe she shouldn't be allowed to run -- the law only allows two terms as president, right?).
As for whether or not she could be elected, just look at history. Bill was elected not once, but twice. If this country's voters are gullible enough to do that, even after seeing what he was like the first time, then they are gullible enough to possibly elect his wife, whose political agenda scares the Hell out of me.
In my estimation, Hillary would be a bigger scourge on our country and on the world than her husband was.
Having a female president depends on the female, just as having a male president depends on the male. If it's Hillary, I dread the repurcussions -- but, then, I said that already, didn't I?
Wish us luck!

Any one would be better than Bush even an Ape. Hilary would not be a bad choice as she has some experience with the inner workings of the white house Thanks to Bill. I am not sure the country is quite ready accept a female as president just yet No Matter how well qualified she may be for the job though

She doesn't have the experience necessary to run for president and the Democratic party knows that. Not for many years will we see anyone other than a white male as a president. As far as a female being president, I doubt much would change. If she was a terrific president it would help the anti women stereotyping that still goes on but not much will change as long as it is a party liner as a president.
