Are you self supporting? Think twice about Florida. The pay is poor and it is an expensive place to live. I live there and I know. I understand you want your son to be close to his dad, but you did say he was your ex! Go down for a nice trip, don't make any quick decisions. Your ex may decide to move back! Good luck and God bless.

You didn't really say what the relationship is like with your ex and you. Is it friends? Is it needing to be with someone so you aren't' alone? Yes, your son needs to know his dad, but there are ways to get that done without moving. What is in this move for you? You say you want to be with him, but you are divorced. That means there were problems when you were together. Can you overcome these issues? Please think long and hard before running across the country to him.

The question you have to be asking yurself is what will happen if you do go down since he is your ex. I am sure there is a reason he is your ex. Try going for a visit and see how things work before you move there

there's alot of things you haven't said,, why he's your ex,, why your scared,, why you are asking complete strangers advice on a very personal imporant question like is this man safe for my son to be around???
Yes your son deserves to know his father, but he also deserves to live in a stable , safe enviroment. Can you be sure his "father" can give you that?? Has he been paying child support and taking care of him?? or just he just want to get in your pants cuz he cant' get any in Florida.????

you didnt say if he was paying for it ,if you are still involved or moved on with someone new.your 3 yo.son will probably be fine,as he is young and hasnt formed full capacity of his emotional core.arrange for your son to visit dad a few times a year.GL

Does he want to marry you and become a family? Has he offered to come get you and bring you to Fl.? Or does he just want you to pull up stakes and you and his child come by yourselves? I'd think long and hard about this.

Don't be his girlfriend, but make sure (that is, if he's a good man) that he is a part of this child's life. Don't go back to him, honey. He's not worth it, he'll only break your heart again.

So you want your ex back? If he left you, I would give him a few months of cold shoulder before I reply to his reuqest. It will also help you get him back to you.

I say try it, and if it doesn't work you can always move back. You only have one life, so live it.
