I was watching a video wher they said 80% of x-2 is just optional missons. I want to know if they are hard to find or in each chapter do you have to go to each part of Spira to do each mission from each part of Spira. I want my game to be long and eventfull . Plz help me. tnx.

It's been a really long time since I've played that game (and I never even finished it either, come to think of it), but from what I remember, the side quests were fairly simple to find.
Basically, all I ever did was take the airship to each part of Spira during each chapter and talk to pretty much everyone. If I remember right, though, you've got to be a little bit careful that you don't end up going to the place that advances the chapters (made that mistake once or twice, yay).
Though I didn't finish the game entirely, I'm glad I took that approach; I remember a lot of the story from the side quests. But good luck with your game!

I really recommend a strategy guide. Yes, there are many side quests. You also need to hit every one of them to achieve 100% game completion. Your percentage of game completion affects your ending, and afterall, some of the endings are really worth it. You can be 100% complete and still not get the Tidus ending. To get that you also have to go to the place Tidus taught Yuna to whistle in FFX. If you don't want to fork over the dough, go to websites like Gamestats or IGN. IGN is best. Also, once you complete the game, don't turn it off. Just continue playing. You'll start at the beginning, keep all the items and the Al Bhed primer info. Important: When you are playing the second time around, use a different save point and do not delete your first game's save point or else you will lose the Al Bhed primer info from your first game. Don't know why. That shouldn't happen. Happy gaming!

the easiest way to do it is before the end of each chap or whenever you get a chance go to all the different places and talk to al the important people and do what they ask. or you coulg yahoo or google search final fantasy x-2 secondary mission guide and see what you find

Yeah it's sort of difficult. There is stuuf you have to do from the beginning of the game. Try getting a walkthrough for the game at http://www.gamefaqs.com . It will tell you how to do everything.
