Can anyone tell me why some downloads totally mess up my computer?

Because you are downloading items that may contain viruses and spyware that can ruin your pc or make it inoperable.

Because some downloads mess up everyone's computer. They are just badly written programs.

viruses, spyware, malware, etc. Did you check to see if they are compatible with the OS, PC, etc.................................
