Sure we all need time to ourselves sometime. Time to think, decompress and relax. Families are often very hectic with kids competing for attention with each other and you. Families are great and stimulating and rewarding but you sometimes just need a little space for yourself.

Yes, it is very normal. I was feeling that way so bad one time that my husband let me go spend a whole weekend alone. I went and got me a hotel suite by myself and stayed there alone. I got some much needed rest. When I came home I was a new woman. Luckily I have a very understanding husband. Maybe that's what you need to do.

VERY NORMAL....YES!

If your anything like me, a stay home mom, unwealthy but get's by finacialy. Every single person needs their "alone time". Sometimes more than others. It helps relationships. When my man goes out with the kids, I get to go out where ever I want OR I stay home and enjoy the SILENCE or I feel like listening to MY MUSIC and paint my toes or bathe my cats or something that I like doing but can't do it while the kids around and DON'T WANT the man around. Sometimes when he gets back, I still want more alone time but that's ok. I made a commitment to this relationship and I make it possible to enjoy the little "alone time" that I get every now and then. If a person in a relationship wants TOO MUCH alone time, there could be questionable distancing and that can't be good OR FUN to go through either.

My alone times, I think, Do I realy want to have this lifestyle, stayhome mom, yadda yadda yadda. I usualy get warm feelings inside because I have time to analize things...NOT TOO MUCH thinking but It always turns out that Im grateful that I have a man that is willing to take the kids out EVEN if he doesn't want to because he's had a long day too and just wants to relax but he does it for me and always comes home from work being happy that he make me feel like I have "alone time" moment when he does things like that for me. I do the same for him when he wants his "alone time". Everyone needs it.

Don't be scared or worried that you feel happier when your husband is gone. I think it's normal. It also takes time to find out why are you happier. In my case, It's because I don't get my "alone time" as much as I would REALLY like. For someone that is ALWAYS wanting alone time, I think thats either a RED flag or someone that isn't getting their proper pampering and support from their spouse.

Hope this helped.

Is normal, we mother have been spending all the times concentrating on our husband and kids, hardly have time for ourselves. It is a great feeling when do have some time off from them and do something you like, is a good recharge. Sometimes I did that by sending the kids to the childcare centre on Saturday and have a break of 4-5 hrs to run my errand or have a body massage done.:)

Yes, this is normal. Everyone needs their own space, time alone to do the things you enjoy by yourself. Even if it is just kicking back and relaxing. Especially after taking care of your husband and kids all day, everyday. I always did when my kids were growing up!!

Oh yes, that is completely normal. You don't get much of a chance to think about only yourself. Your time is spent giving all of your attention to your family. The few precious minutes you get to yourself are a special gift. Treasure them. Do something nice for yourself. This time will pass and the family will come home. You can be the center of all the issues again. Just right now when it is quiet enjoy you special time.

I wouldn't say it's normal but depending on your lifestyle it might be needed! Sometimes when we get so caught up in our lives and the well being of others we forget to take some time to enjoy things for ourselves. Just relax and enjoy some alone time. Just don't let the alone time hurt your marriage or your family.

It's not only normal, it is very necessary to have alone time for yourself. In my marriage, my husband and I give each other space to do our own thing. He has his own activities and I have mines. Then we get together later on in the day and do something together. It's very important to have that alone time so you don't lose your identity in the process.

It is normal. Your happy for the break it provides to you. It does not mean you dont love them or want to be with them, only that your human and need some alone time like anyone else. I am sure if they left for an extended period of time, you would miss them all like crazy.

YES this is normal. It's just that you are ssooooooooooooo grateful to have time alone. Before I was married and had my son, I always enjoyed LOTS of time alone. It was and still is a big adjustment to make. I just take what time I have alone, really appreciate it, and do whatever makes me feel good about myself. Be good to yourself and DONT FEEL GUILTY. ENJOY!
