They give out more tickets than there are seats so I wanted to see if there was anyone out there who has went before and knows what time is a good time to get there to make sure we are able to get in. The show is at 2:30 PM.

Actually you should go real early. I don't remember what time the first show starts, but you should arrive in the early morning. You have to fill out forms (everyone does) for taxes in the event you are chosen to be a contestant. You also will get your name tag, line number, and will talk you through the process. They will tell you when you need to come back to be in line. You will then go in front of 3 or 4 people who are looking for "talent" (contestants)
you will then get in line again and go into the theater (named after Bob Barker) It is WAY smaller in person than what it looks like on TV.
I would think about making a crazy shirt and be loud and crazy when you are in front of the panel who are looking for contestants. You will have a better shot.
It was an all day event for us. We had a couple hours to freshen up before or taping, but we were there starting at 5am. Have fun...And they will let you know the scheduled airing date. I have mine taped, we were right behind the contestants.
