When the computer went flying, you may have broken something, or you may have damaged one or more of your cables. If the computer is basically working otherwise, it may not be the source of the network problem.

It is possible for cables to appear intact, but they could be damaged inside. Try substituting other, known good cables. Also, I am not sure from your description where your Linksys router fits into this equation, but when you say it "didnt do anything," it might suggest to me that it may have a problem.

If your computer is a portable, you can test your wireless network connection at a local coffee shop or somewhere where they offer free WiFi access. If it is wired networking that is not working, see if you have a friend with an ethernet network that wouldn't mind letting you plug your computer into his switch for testing. Just a few ideas.

Through the sudden jerking motion as you vividly described, you mave have damaged a sensor chip in the router.. Check this site to see if they have any tools to check routers. Good Luck
