I just got in contact with an old friend from high school. He told me that he is unhappily married, and has a child. He said that he is waiting for the "right time" to fix his situation. I have always thought of him as more than a friend. But for now, he wants us to build a new friendship. He's always cared about me and I know he doesn't want to lose me again. Is it wrong for me to be "friends" with a married man?? Everyone keeps telling me to stay away. Should I stop talking to him? Help!

You really should stay away. You know, he can wind up staying with his wife, and you will be relegated to mistress. You will be on the sidelines while he lies to his wife, and you will always be on borrowed time.
Not only that, but besides your own selfish sexual/emotional needs right now, think about the fact that every minute he's with you, he's NOT spending time with his child. Someone in this world who needs this person MUCH more than YOU do.
Now. with that in mind, what kind of person is he, he's not thinking of his child, is this a good catch to you?
All marriages have trouble, especially when there is a child involved but it usually gets better with commitment. You don't know that his marriage wont' get better. But it certainly won't if you emerge in the picture, then YOU will be responsible for taking someone's husband and a poor kid's father AWAY.
You should stay away from this person until it can be proven to you that he has gotten a divorce from his wife and is seeing his child on the weekends. Until then, find someone who Isn't already TAKEN by a wife AND a CHILD.

I wonder if his wife knows he plans to fix the situation!! You need to tell him to stay away from you until he is completely free and divorced. You need to stay far away from him and have no more contact until he is divorced. You are part of the break-up of a family. How does that make you feel? If you keep in touch with this guy some poor child will grow up without his daddy and mommy living together. There is a lot more at stake than your "friendship."

Listen to the people who are telling you to stay away. He is a married man and if he's having problems in his marriage, having you in between will only add to the problem. Let him fix his situation and if he does get divorced from his wife, then he can contact you and perhaps start something new. For now, stay away from him.

The people telling you to stay away are correct. Married men are a dead end. He just wants you around so hopefully you will become a booty call. If he was so miserable in his marriage he would be getting out of it. That is just another line that married men tell single women so they have a safe place to go for a booty call and don't have to buy a motel room. Stop talking to him immediately and go find yourself a respectable, single man.

You need to end this before it even begins. You know that if you were this mans wife that you would not want it done to you. Tell him you care about him, but until he is officially divorced you do not want any kind of relationship with him other than a platonic friendship. He has a child and a wife, please....dont do something that you wouldnt want done to you.

You have to make your own decision of course but personally I would listen to those who say "stay away". He can contact you again whenever he gets a divorce. Until then, he needs to concentrate on his family life and you need to move on with yours. Hope you do the right thing. Good Luck!

Save yourself countless heartache. Ten years from now he'll be telling you the same lines except he'll be saying it to you after he talked you into sleeping with him.

You're better than that.

Find a good guy who wouldn't betray his family. Once a cheater always a cheater....

Good Luck and Stay Strong!

sure, it should be incorrect. in case you try this, your existence receives messier than it already is. Do your self, his spouse, his children, and him a want and end that affair. My boyfriend (20) basically stuck his dad dishonest. It became the hardest element he had to head by and he had to confront his dad about it and forced his dad to inform his mom. I extremely have not in any respect considered such diverse emotions in someone. What takes position if one in all his children locate an e mail or a textual content message. Or God forbid, pronounced you 2 mutually. do not attempt this anymore to his family individuals or children. you do not prefer to be that lady. believe me, my boyfriend actually drove by technique of her domicile virtually each day for a lengthy time period and despatched her terrible texts. My boyfriend is amazingly aspect-headed and did that. Affairs are risky.
