Join a rc forum and meet people from your area, In my opinion location isn't as important as a good group of people to run with. I've had many awesome sessions in a parking lot with a couple of friends over the sickest rock crawling by myself. Id rather be racing and around and rolling over other people any day. But if you are set on solo running, look up any parks in the area and go play! Lakes tend to have decent running areas also!
