Yes, the restaurants give out way too much food.
I have a hard time ordering the child size menu. They always ask me where is my child, especially if I am sitting in the sit down restaurant.

Depends on the restaurant. We are a society that wants more for their money and wanting to "supersize" our meals. It has become commonplace to have meals that in reality should feed 2 or 3 people.
It is a real eye-opener to look at the portions that we should be eating. Looking at the calorie intake for 1 day for many people would be frightening. People have more calories in one meal than what they should be having for 2 or 3 days.
That is why the obesity levels in America and elsewhere are staggering.

YES OH MY GOD. Restaurants definitely give out way too much food, the portion sizes are WAY too big! That's one of the reasons why America is SO FREAKING OBESE. Damn. I can never finish any adult-size item, so usually I order half-size or children's T_T haha and I'm 16.

If they do, keep in mind, you have choice as to whether or not you want to eat it all. There is always an option of getting a box or a bag and taking the leftover food home.
People want to blame the restaurants for feeding them too much and it's the people that choose to eat too much.

Yes, they give you too much food.
If possible, I like to order off the Senior menu,
it cost a little less and is less food.
I was raised to eat everying thing on my plate, that's a hard habit to break, especially when you're paying for it.

Yes! You are spot on! Most restaurants over serve.
Amusingly enough high end restaurants serve higher quality with less quantity of food.
