Kickinupfunf is correct. They already have the know-how, what they are working on is implementation of what they know.

The other answers illustrate the problem. One says they wouldn't dare use a nuke on us, because we would use our nukes on them. Another says we can't possibly even consider using nukes. If they give the nukes to a 3rd party, say a terrorist group and you see a mushroom cloud where New York, Atlanta, LA, or KC used to be what do you do then?

I think, nuclear retaliation is no deterrent to terrorist who commit murder suicide anyway, and it isn't clear to the states that support them, that a price would be paid. If I was in their place I would guess I could get away with supplying terrorist with one nuke for sure, maybe two, and possibly three.

There is a time limit on this game. Sanctions run by the UN didn't work in Iraq after 12 years. We don't have that much time. A military blockade might work in a few months, but that in itself is an act of war. If that failed given that the facilities are all underground nukes would be the only option. To prevent any mischief their Navy, Airforce and military bases would also have to be neutralized. Don't know if nukes would be the only option to do that or not.

I hate to tell you, but they have the know-how..and they will be the first to us nukes, it will be first on the Jews to whom they hate more than us, then they will branch out to their neighbors, remember always, they want to take over the entire Middle East and with Russia's help they will go for it. Times are a blazing with rumors of war, however, this war is going to be real and hot!

they have stated they are enriching uranium for electric generation. yes we should continuously watch them but they have done nothing wrong. did we nuke England or France when they actually made bombs from nuclear material? how about Pakistan or India,South Africa,Israel.they all have WARHEADS ready to go. all this stuff in the media is designed to rile us up over Iran so bush has another excuse to invade and occupy another oil producing country . ask : who profits?

Iran has no declared intentions to do anything to the US. They wouldn't launch a nuclear weapon; it would be suicide. This is a very bizarre and disturbing question, if you don't mind my saying so.
