Here is the rule: If you don't know what it is or have asked for it, then block it". Sometimes while downloading this will happen. You still have to be careful here also. It could be an infection trying to install as part of the program. I Block it and then if the program doesn't work then it was a necessary part that's needed. I download the program again and allow it.
Any words referring to an infection should be blocked. There are many more than just Virus, Trojan, Dialer or Hacker. I recommend you read this site to educate yourself. It is very helpful. I learned a lot from it. I still read it every month for the constant updates they do.

Most spyware is relatively benign. That is, they don't generally damage your computer or files the way viruses and worms can (although they can make you susceptible to hacker attack). But they do invade your privacy.
They can track where you go on the web. They can call up redirects to take you to places you don't want to go. There are a
few other annoying (if not terribly nasty) things they can do.
Since there isn't any benefit to having them, you are really bettter off keeping them blocked and cleaning out any you may
already have.

Trojans are worms that can destroy data, steal data
Dialers are programs that dial home to send personal information
Hacker is someone who is attempting to crash, or steal info off of the PC,
SO YES BLOCK THESE IF YOU WANT SAFE COMPUTING TO LAST.... Good luck
