From one stand point, I can see how one group will say that "pornography has hurt society and will keep destroying society." Or if it is a church that gets involved, they will probably say that ""God would not be pleased with man producing pornography and especially that man is producing it on a mass production."
But from another stand point, I can also see another group saying something like: "If society did not have pornography, we would be extremely stressed out and we wouldn't be so creative and free. Plus, pornography has been around since man created art."
To tell the truth, I am with group B. I say this because in the short run, pornography might be harming society. But the way I see it, porn has helped man in times of crisis.
Also, if you personally find porn to bad on society, then I would say "Go for it." And if it is the other side you support, then I also say "Go for it"
One more thing, people who indeed star in a porno, and they later regret making such a horrific film, then it is there fault for being in it. Not their agent's fault, not the director's fault, not even their mother's fault, but their fault and their fault alone.
In conclusion, I personally think that pornography is indeed a good thing society and can indeed make a person a better lover.

I think moderation is the key, as with most things. As long as all parties are in agreement (including the actors)....I don't see anything wrong with it. Porn isn't really my thing, but who am I to say another person can't enjoy it? As far as the 18 year old actors, I can recall being 18 and knowing very clearly what the consequences to my actions would be. At that point, you make the choice and you live with it. If someone becomes addicted, I think that is that persons problem, but not the fault of porn itself. That would be like suing Ben & Jerry's for being fat.

You are asking this question from the perspective of the "watcher."
Look at it from the perspective of the porn stars. It just isn't that glamorous. No benefits, no health insurance and they don't make THAT much, especially compared to legitimate film actors. And no retirement.
Watch any interview, ask any porn star, most if not all have experienced sexual abuse in their childhood. They are used like a piece of meat. Many have learning disabilities. It's an UGLY evil business.
And last of all, take someone "famous and charming" like Ron Jeremy. Isn't it kind of sick that a man that age is still having sex with 18 year old kids. Ruining their lives.
Not so hot and sexy is it.

well anything in excess is harmful to you. I watch porn with my husband on occasion, its not a big deal to us or an issue. I've always been secure as a lover and with my body. Sometimes I think ( NOT YOU BUT SOME ) some women have such body image issues that they feel they cannot compete.
I had a friend once call off her wedding cause her hubby watched the playboy channel ONCE but she could drool and ogle over tom cruise andyday and he couldn't watch a demi Moore movie cause she was so insecure.
How do you know its horrible? Some people really want to go into that business, you might not like it but hey I dont like when people spray perfume on me in the mall so I tend to stay away from them =) and to flour scent lighting, honey that was in the 70's.lol
good question

It is harmful and addictive. People think it is normal these days to watch people have sex. Actually people think it is OK and normal to have orgies and many different sex partners. I think porn may contribute to how some young people devalue sex and become desensitized to what they are exposed to, so that it becomes normal to be promiscuous and sleep around. It is sad how so many of my friends had sleep with each other and they don't think it is weird at all. What is the point really if you don't care it just ends up numming you? People just want to get off.

It many things to many people.
It is bad for those that find it offensive.
It is good for those that enjoy it.
It is a huge industry (1 billion dollars a year) that is taxed, so the government makes money off it.
Like most things, to much is a bad thing, to little probably won't hurt you.
The fact that it exists demonstrates that our culture tried to suppress human nature and in turn created something else.

I think porn is a good thing if used in moderation. For those who watch it 24/7 and focus their entire sex life around it and the addiction is there, I don't think it's good.. I enjoy watching porn every now and then, it gets the juices flowing ;)

All those men aren't huge. It depends on the type of porn - just like regular movies - everyone has their own tastes - but, I do believe it is like anything in life - do it (or watch it) in moderation. Anything can become addicting - alcohol, drugs, sex, porn, gambling, coffee, sugar, fast food, any food, cigarettes, oh my! the list goes on and on! Scarry, huh?

I think porn is alright. But you have to go with what you like. Lipstick lesbians are revolting to me, as are the really kinky sh!t they put out there. Suppose I'm quite old fashioned - nothing wrong with that, I can still knock a guys socks off.
