i will be driving approximately 15miles each day. i also need to get insurance and AA cover, MOT etc. any ideas of roughly how much this will cost for a year? not inclduing the actual cost of the car!

no i'm not thick, but i havn't even passed my driving test yet and i need to consider whether using public transport will be cheaper in the long run.

The insurance will be the highest, depending on your age, cheaper if over 25. You'll have to look around for the best quote.

car tax is around £120 a year

Mot around £19 then it needs servicing

Car breakdown around £80 a year

Then petrol

Minimum around £300 a year without insurance and breakdown.

Once you've got the best insurance quote it's easy to work out your annual cost.

pass your driving test and get yourself a car i can assure u it will be used a lot more than driving 15 miles a day ....
u will have increased freedom its well worth doing ..one of the best things i ever done was pass my test ..
cant tell u the costs as insurance .. car .. all kinds of things need to be taken in to consideration .. just go forit !!

I would stick to public transport for now.

A car at that price will probably need at least twice that a year in repairs.

It will suck you dry and leave you bleeding.

Wait till you can get a bit more cash together would be my advice.

it all depends on what u buy but ?at the end of the day what can u expect for the sort of money that u want to spend regards anthony
