XXXXXXXXXXXXX A small church wedding or a wedding in a local park would be fine. Maybe later you can renew your vows with your family and friends when you visit your country in the future. Good luck hun XXXXXXXXXXXXX

I think you should have TWO weddings! But knowing how expensive that can be, why not have a wedding/reception (when you both decide where it will be, America or your homeland) and then just have a nice reception with the family & friends who couldn't make it, at a later time, in their homeland. That way tons of people don't have to travel, just you and the groom! You could have your wedding videotaped and at the second reception set up a big screen and play the wedding back during dinner for those who were unable to attend. The most important thing is that you BOTH agree whole-heartedly on what is decided. Don't cow down because he wants something and you want to make him (or his mother) happy. Otherwise, you will regret it and it may cause problems in your marriage down the road. Mutual respect.......that is the key!
Congratulations!

use webcams so that your family and friends can be there, even if they can't actually be there. it will be unique and much cheaper than plane tickets. have it to where you can communicate with each other- it will make the moment very special.
you should have an indoor wedding, given how hot it is this time of year. why don't you have the wedding at a fancy hotel? that way, you won't have to worry about who will clean everything up after the wedding. plus, you can get a suite and kick off your honeymoon in style!

I would think that the answer might be which family is able to afford to travel to another country. How many family members on each side? When would you plan on going to see your family...if it would be soon...then you could have a wonderful reception with all of your family (if travel is a problem for both sides). What is your culture as far as the wedding ceremony?

If you love him, have the wedding here. Invite all of your friends, but if this is your new home, the USA, have the wedding here. Plan it far enough into the future that maybe your friends and family can come too.

Why don't you have two weddings?
Have a wedding in American and a wedding in the country where you're from (hopefully your friends live close enough there to attend).
They don't have to be lavish weddings, they can be simple and elegant at the same time.

Well. U can satisfy both of you. You have 1 the way your husband to be wants it, and the second one to satisfy ur wants and also get to have it where you can invite all your friends...depending on your budget...That's will make your wedding something different.

when I got married, it was just me and my husband and we hired 2 witnesses, it's so much easier and more special that way. In my opinion anyway. a small wedding is the cheapest way to go, and more meaningful.
