Can I just email a picture and article for a PR release? JPEG?

We have a great story. Need to get in paper thru pr as no budget. Suggestions? What qualilty pix? List anywhere?

Call the paper you want it to run in and ask them what format and resolution they want the photos for print. They usually want a pretty big one so it might be best to burn it to a CD and fedex it to them.

Ask also about the article as well, I'm sure they can use the text of an e-mail message copy and paste it to their setup software.
