There is nothing to be compensated for. The information on the laptop computer that was stolen was never accessed by the two bit criminals that stole it as the computer was never considered to have any worthwhile information. It was simply stolen as a laptop to be sold for some drug money.

Thought they found those lap tops, and that none of the information was comprised. And if it is or was, then yes they should be, as to whether they will be is another situation. They should be notified at the expense of the government everyone of them, and then they should be allowed for the rest of their lives to access the credit information to make sure no one is using it.

Did you know that the Credit Bureaus where first started by the Germans or a company in Germany and that they are in control of all information threw them......? Scare the c...p out of you. It does me.

Probably not. What for? Unless they can show some proof of loss, there is nothing to compenate.

to be compensated you have to have a loss, there was no loss so no compensation
