I feel for you!
Women are very irrational during pregnancy. We feel fat, ugly, insecure, think you're going to have affairs with every woman who isn't pregnant and just generally witchy!
If this is your first child, she has the added stress of fear, not knowing what to expect topped off with raging hormones makes a basket case, not every woman shows this the same way though.

Be patient and reassure her that you love her,& find her beautiful,
cuddle with her and try to show her in other ways that you care. This will go a long way in easing her fears and getting you a bit of "your freedom" back. I would also recommend a lamaze( do they still call it this? lol) class where you can talk with other dads to be and you'll see that your partner isn't the only one acting like this.
Looking back I often wonder how we ever managed to have a second ! lol
Good luck to you!

Sorry about that but as a good husband that is something that you are just going to have to deal with. Her life probably feels a little like Hell also. She really has NO freedom at all. Can she drink wine? NO, Can she go dancing comfortably? NO, can she wear her old jeans? NO! Is she getting stretch marks? YES! Are her hormones going crazy? YES! Is any of this stuff happening to you? I don't think so. You not getting stretch marks, you can have a beer, you can go out with your friends, you can wear your old clothes, and your hormones are totally changing. You also won't have labor pains and a child emerging from you vagina either - will you? NOPE! This is why she is acting this way. Give her a break - her life is changing right now even more than yours is. And if she decides to breastfeed after the baby is born she'll still be attached to the baby with no freedom.

Grow up! You wanted to have sex, now you need to deal with the consequences of that choice. It's rough when the child is an infant, because they're totally dependent on you, but it does get better, or at least it's better until that child becomes a teenager; if you think you're in hell now, just wait until then!

Your life has become like hell and you have no freedom at all? How old are you? 15?

If you are a man and not a boy then GROW UP and be RESPONSIBLE. If you are old enough to get married and have children then you are old enough to discipline yourself. You are going to be a father. Grow a backbone and take on your responsibilities like the man that you should be.

And buy your wife some flowers and apologize to her for being selfish.

While pregnant women go though alot of differant emotions sometime being insecure is one of them, her body is going through so many changes and her hormones are working overtime, it is very common my husband is going through the same thing before I got pregnant my husband would go to poker games every friday night now that I am in my late stages of pregnacy I always want him by my side in case something happens. Stick by her it will be over soon enough. If it makes you feel any better remember that what ever your feeling you have no idea what she is going through, and when its all over she will remember how wonderful you were by standing by her side that she will be very greatful.

I find it to be normal. I for one became a "honey, could you" do this or get me that. It is that precious cargo that was carrying inside. Just be patient with your wife. You still have freedom, but just indulge your wife now and again. She is carrying a very precious cargo.
