Haha gristle comes with the territory, that's why you should chew carefully so you don't chip a tooth! Be thankful you have a choice to eat meat some people aren't so lucky.

Yuck. Been there. I usually just discretely put it in my napkin and go on with my burger. It usually only happens once, then the rest of the meal is fine.

Fortunately I've never had that problem. I'm a vegetarian so I don't have to worry about that. Sounds gross though.
