It's best to play it safe and wear a cute top with jeans. Miniskirts and skirts show you're trying too hard and capris and stuff are too "cool"
Jeans are great for school and they can be very stylish. Just wear them with any sort of pretty colorful shirt and they'll look great!!!! good luck and happy first day of school
Also, you can look in magazines like Seventeen for a good back to school look

you want something trendy. also something a bit different than last year, since there are new trends in. dont make it look like your planning on going to a formal because you will only be talked about. not in good ways either (trust me, ive been through it...3 times). wear something trendy, like i said, but casual. too much can look sloppy and unprofessional sometimes.

You should look like yourself, but have a new change. Look like something you usually wear, but add a new twist. Like, a haircut? Or a new top that is nicer than usual. Don't be too dressy unless you're that type of girl.

a new tshirt you got over the summer (so you wont look like you tried to hard for a new outfit)and new jeans or old jeans cause jeans are the best ever! yeah thats pretty much it

Try curls if you've got strait hair, or just the opposit or wafelcurls or a different cut!
