m= ( yb - ya ) / ( xb - xa )
if m= 3/4

3/4 = ( r - (-3) ) / ( 7 - (-1) )
3/4 = (r +3 ) / 8
4* (r +3 ) = 3* 8
4r + 12 = 24
4r = 24-12
4r= 12
r = 12/4
r = 3

m = deltay/deltax or m = (y2 -y1)/(x2-x1)

So, using the given points we get: m= (r+3)/(7+1) = (r+3)/8

As m must be 3/4, then (r+3)/8 = 3/4

Reducing to the same denominator we get (r+3)/8 = 6/8

and then r+3 = 6 and finally r=3

m=mc2 (50) r=rhubarb2to the power of 10 so the value is
status quo unless there is a paradox

(3/4) = (r - (-3))/(7 - (-1))
(3/4) = (r + 3)/(7 + 1)
(3/4) = (r + 3)/8

cross multiply

4(r + 3) = 24
r + 3 = 6
r = 3
