Most people would be wrong. At one month, your baby is at most about 10 grams. It is almost impossible for her to move separate from the wall of your uterus.
The acceleration you experience on a roller coaster is at most, MOST 4 g's and that's ONLY if you go on the latest and greatest coaster, most don't exceed 3 g's. You'll put more stress on her doing aerobics.
I know its a common movie theme for a miscarriage to be caused by a car crash, but this doesn't occur either. This is fiction.
You may be pregnant, you're not dead. Enjoy your trip and don't forget to squeal when you get on the top of the track.
...and if you ask a doctor, its a lot easier on the insurance premiums if he tells you not to.

There's no proof that it would harm you or the baby, however, it should be avoided. Why do you think most of the rides have those safety signs that warn pregnant women, high blood pressure, etc not to ride this ride? It's not for the heck of it.
If you feel it's worth the risk though, do what you want, it's your decision. Personally, I'd play it safe and not ride them until after my pregnancy, because the life of my unborn child is much more important than riding a few rollar coasters.

Being only a month pregnant, your child is well protected. Even if you fell down stairs or something at this point in pregnancy, your child would more than likely be fine. BUT... the risk for miscarriage is higher in the first 3 months, so that is something to consider also. It would be best to just go get a test a the doctors office or free clinic, and if its positive, ask their opinion. If you really are prego, some rides may be really unpleasant for you anyway. Good luck, and congrats if you are! Start taking your prenatals now, by the way. And ginger if you get nausea.

Well, if you are indeed pregnant, congratulations. Here is my experience and knowledge in this.
#1 you are going to get a lot of nay sayers here, but I think that it is fine. A doctor will tell you no way.
#2 I went to wisconsin dells while pregnant with my first daughter, great america while pregnant with my second, and (heaven forbid) sky diving while pregnant with my third. Now in all 3 cases I didn't know that I was pregnant at the time (I was like a month or so like you). All of my children are fine. (my mom also went to great america while pregnant with me, and I am fine...........i think lol)
#3 the womb is very cushioned, you would need to take a very hard blow for something dangerous to happen to your baby.
The bottom line here is..... how do you feel about it. if you are pregnant, then you need to think, well how would I feel if something were to happen while i was at the amusement park to this child? you need to know that something might happen to this child like a miscarriage (although unlikely), but is that something that you would be able to handle if it did happen?
again if you are pregnant congratulations, and if you and your husband chose to go...........have fun.

hi there,
although there are not many studies about the subject according to some medical experts the answer would be definitely no.I m including one article which is not long but gives some view of the subject.
Rapid acceleration and deceleration, prolonged multi-gravitational
(g) force and high speed rides are all common thrills in the amusement
park, exerting inertial forces of mass versus momentum. These forces
exerted on the pregnant rider may result in rupture of membranes,
abruptio placenta with immediate or delayed symptom presentation, vena
caval occlusion and fetal maternal haemorrhage (Buchsbaum, 1968;
Crosby et al, 1971; Crosby et al, 1968, Crosby, 1974; Mengert et al,
1953).
Hope this helps in making up Ur mind :-)
