If I am looking for a quick television fix: Fear Factor.
That is because there is a focus on what they are doing so it doesn't matter who the people are and you can watch just one episode without missing anything important.
Survivor is really, really good if you follow it by watching every episode. There seems to be a focus on the challenges to the casual viewer but the interesting part is watching the interpersonal relations between the contestants while under pressure and stress.
This is compounded by past behavior from previous episodes. Survivor can be vastly superior as far as entertainment value but only if you watch consecutive episodes. Otherwise, a single episode of Survivor is nothing but a watered-down episode of Fear Factor.

Survivor. The contestants actually have to do something. It's much more interesting with the social aspect of the game, the challenges are better, and you get to know the contestants over the course of the season. I couldn't name anyone from Fear Factor if I tried.

I prefer Survivor, because I don't believe Fear Factor is about fear I believe it's about degradation and how far people are willing to go for the "almighty dollar". The show has gone too far in some situations, in many situations.

Fear Factor.
It is a real test of strength and fears.
Survivor is just overrated to me.

Survivor even though i only saw the first season. fear factor gets way too repetative and i just dont care who wins.

survivor. I like the people on survivor better.that guy on fear factor really gets on my nerves. Lets see him eat some cockroaches or some elephants penis.
