would it affect your opinion of a girl/guy if they dressed........."alternatively" (some would call it punk or gothic). like would you never even consider liking them- or does it really not matter.
in my opinon, it doesnt matter what people dress like, or even look like. if theyre a nice person then i would want to be with them...oh and for a reference i dress "alternatively" and was wondering this because someone told me that guys only like "preppy" girls...and vice versa(which i have found to be untrue, that it seems to not matter, but i want some opinons. please be honest.)

As you have already stated, it is a matter of opinion. While clothes matters to some, it won't to others. And for those that do care, some may like alternative styles.

I don't see how dressing differently would affect my personal judgment of them. I usually can tell the type of personality each person has in under 30 seconds flat just from meeting them face to face.
For me, I wear shorts year round. The weather up where I live isn't very "winter-like" for my tastes.

well depends on the guy. some guys dont care. some like preppy, others dont. it does produce an image for you to most people that seem bad, but i have a few friends who dress gothic and i really dont care cuz i know them. i know a girl who practices mormon, so it dont bother me. shes an awesome friend. it doesnt really matter, just others opinions about it will differ.

Hi, Honestly i do like a well grroomed guy.,
Which to me means that he smells great, is cleanly shaved, Actually irons his clothes lol, And just looks really well put to gether...
I'm Australian, & in all my time i have never fully understood what "preppy" means.. That's not true,
Here we have a lot of upperclass girls that go for skater guys,
A guy will like you for who you are, not what you look like and dress like.. If he doesn't he isn't worth it.

In a sense, yeah. People percieve people differently if they are wearing something that is out of the normal. But I think alot of people judge a person on their personaility, not their clothes.

same here..as long as they're nice a person overall..I'd love to be with them...I don't really care if you dress punk or gothic..some times...punk gothic guys are kinda hot..lol...maybe it's just the eyeliner.

My theory is that clothes are an illusion. When you see someone in nice clothes, who looks great, it is not the clothes that shine but the personality coming out...
