I actually thought it is send me a msg by yahoo messenger. When I sent a message in response to this my friend said , 'please ping me'. Then I gave a 'buzz' through the messenger and again he said 'I heard buzz but ping me'.

In technical terms, a ping is a single IP network command that seeks a single packet to go from one network node to the next, requesting a single packet reply. This is used to see if another device is on the network and is responsive to network commands.
If I ping you, that means that I am looking for a simple reply to see if you are there. I would use this with messenger if you were HIDING, so if you did reply, I would know that you were there, and willing to talk.
If you are busy, just ignore my ping.

Kopi 'o' ping = Iced black coffe where 'ping' is a Mandarin word for ice. Aku pong = Me too where actually 'pong' was supposed to be 'pun' but spoken in one of the state dialects. (Can't remember which state though.) Ping pong is what we call table tennis in your vocabulary here......XD Edit - Anything else, ya big ape? Edit again - It's an old saying that means if you repent or learn of your mistakes and rectify earlier, your loss will be minimal but if you let it prolong and let yourself go deeper and deeper into the fault, your loss will be so great that it's almost hopeless to even try to recover.

don't do it! Not unless you know this person well.
Ping is an dos command that sends a short but of data to a specific address or website.
When the ping arrives it will have your specific IP addess on it. (it will look something like 192.168.2.1 though that wouldn't be it.)
If your friend is a hacker, they can now go after your system big time.
