I've heard that a lot of it depends on what type of toothpaste and to only resort to using toothpaste as a very last option. Using toothpaste can irritate your skin even more, making things worse. You're probably better off using a spot cream or gel that's actually made for that purpose.

Yes it does work. Put it on before you go to bed and wash it off in the morning. Only use a dot on the zit. Don't use whitening toothpaste though. I did that and ended up w/ a blister on the zit!!

Oh boy. That's as bad as using preperation H on your eyes. Toothpaste is for your teeth. There are hundreds of acne and face products out there that are not over the top costly. I recomend investing in a bar of clinque soap for oily skin. It's great! It cost about $16 but, it lasts for months unlike the cheaper things in the grocery stores. So you can spend $5-6 a week on cheap acne products or find something that really works and lasts much longer. In the long run the cost is cheaper and they work much better.

Yes, it can help get rid of acne if it's made with sodium bicarbonate and has peppermint flavoring added ... you can get the same results by making a paste of baking soda and adding some real peppermint oil to it (and a tiny bit of water, since peppermint oil is very strong) ... put a bit of paste onto each pimple or blackhead and let it 'sit' for an hour, then 'scrub hard' with a washcloth and PLAIN hot water (as hot as you can stand) then RINSE well, three times, in warm, cool, and cold water to get your pores to 'close tightly' ... do this EVERY NIGHT before bed and wash the same way (NO SOAP, just PLAIN HOT WATER) in the morning, and again at noon.

Hey i used to have pretty bad acne, and it didn't work..
You could try it for yourself, But it has to be the white toothpaste not the gel one, and you should sleep with it on,
I didn't see results, But i used it in a large area of my face, and i woke up with red skin, Which you may not like to risk.
Maybe you should try making an aspirin face scrub, instead, and leave the aspirin paste on your pimples over night, Sounds wacky.. but it helped me out,
Crush up 3 aspirin, ( really well ) and add small ammounts of water untill it is pastey.. or at least mixed well, Use a portion of that to scrub into your face, it reduces redness and the grainiess of it opens pores then splash your little face with cold water, With the left over aspirin simply dab it on to your pimples, But make sure your face is dry.!

FYI, you could also use panadol or heron, whatever is in your medical box!

Hi,
I am a dermatologist by profession and within a careeer of 10 years I have seen lots of acnee problems. According to me Red and white pimpless are the worst and painful. Acneprone skin is very sensitive, even if you touch it once the redness will increase with itching. According to me there is no magical way to heal your pimmples over night as this is the puffed part of your skin due to the bacteria.

In simple words try to improve your diet and have lots of water that helps in healingg process. Un-necessary oily food should be avoided to get a healthy spotless skin.

You know what? It sure does. I tried it the other night for the first time....I had this huge new bump, and was getting no where with it...lol, and it was freakin down the very next morning, course it had to heal, but the toothpaste worked. I couldnt believe it. I dont know what is in it to do that, but it DID work!

Yes, Overnight is best, after washing face. dry it and apply toothpaste to problem areas

You may want to use something different though, like ProActive, or Noxema, Differen (You can request also stuff from your dermatoligist or doctor.)

not sure. But toothpaste works really good at filling in nail holes in a wall. (use white toothpaste, however.)
