that's not always true. Bulging eyes can be a sign of a thyroid problem, or other medical problems, could be in the genes as sometimes it could be hereditary.

ewww that visual aid creeps me out!!

I think big eyes aren't really big, they are just normal size in a small head... thus the need for protruding. I could be wrong. Just a guess.
