Get ready to be flamed. You're actually asserting that people be aware that their pregnancy will result in a human baby? You haven't been brainwashed to believe that a zygote isn't a human life?

hmmmm NEVER IN HISTORY huh...don't know where you get your information, but women have had various methods for inducing miscarriage since pre-historic times. There are many herbs that can encourage miscarriage, and other methods that have been used. It is this inane attitude that the only reason a woman would want an abortion would be so she could just go have fun. The decision to abort a pregnancy is most usually based on financial pressures...the ability to feed this new life and perhaps the lives of earlier children. If those that scream about abortion being so wrong were willing to put their money where their judgmental mouths are there would be a lot few abortions.

You are really out there on the fringe man. Abortion is nothing new to human society. Certainly China and India practice infaticide to a degree that would be unimaginable in this country. And yes, there is a certain religious element to the argument when looking at their societies versus our own. I would agree that in this country we have a higher regard for life.
Humanism is not a devilish cult and certainly is not putting forward Abortion as something good. And certainly there is no self worship going on that has anything to do with abortion.
A serious debate on abortion can't happen when this kind of wierd rhetoric is used to condemn the people on the other side of the issue from yourself. This will not bring them to your way of thinking.

I can't speak for anyone else but I can say this for sure. I have been pregnant contrary to current liberal belief that an embryo is nothing more then a parasite I am here to tell ya that an embryo does NOT grow into a watermelon. I would be very interested in seeing the first human embryo that turns into a watermelon!

Right. We should have as many babies as possible and raise them to send them to die in stupid pointless wars for the sake of oil company profit margins, even if it means raising them in poverty or with terrible congential defects because they rwere the result of incest or rape - because everyone knows that a christian god would prefer to let -you- have control over all women's bodies rather than letting them decide for themselves whether or not to have an abortion to save their own life.
