I've probably done myself a huge disservice by not reading those books (oddly enough, I've read Dan Brown's other two books).

At any rate, I now have in my possession both The DaVinci Code and Angels and Demons.

In your opinion, in which order should I read the two? Is one technically a prequel of another, or are they different enough that it doesn't matter?

Thanks.

Angels and Demons then DaVinci Code. I read it in that order and I found that the DaVinci Code was easier to understand. Between the two of them, I like Angels and Demons better...a lot more action...I had a hard time putting the book down.

I read The DaVinci Code first because I received it as a gift after passing a coding class, then a friend gave me Angels and Demons. They are both great books, I found that it really doesn't matter which way you read them. Angels and Demons was written after The DaVinci Code but happens before Langdon gets involved with the code.

Angels and Demons is written first then The DaVinci Code. Doesn't matter which one you read first but I think Davinci code is much more exciting because of the puzzling facts.

Angels & Demons was written first, but it doesn't matter in which order you read them. There are a few references to Angels & Demons in the DaVinci Code, but they don't impact the reader's ability to understand the story.

I'm reading Angels & Demons right now... I'm having a hard time getting into it though.

angels and demons is by FAR the better of the two books. in my humble opinion, if you read angels first, you will be kind of let down by davinci, though that is a good book too.

i read angels first then davinci

I think he wrote angels and demons first, then Da Vinci code, but I can't be sure. But even though it's the same character, I don't think one has anything to do with the other. They are both excellent books that keep you on the edge of your seat.

Read them in the order they were written. A&D first then DaVinci Code. That is how I read them. I liked them both.

Read A&D first. As with the others, I enjoyed that one more. And it was written first. You'll have more of an understanding of the main character.

They are very good books. I just wish they didn't have all the stupid hype applied to them....

angels and demons takes place before the da vinci code...
but they aren't terribly relavant to each other, they just have the same main character.

i enjoyed angels and demons more... so i'd recommend you read it first.
