I had a bathroom sink that had been slow to drain for years. Using drain openers did not help. A man who worked for the water and sewer department told me to use boiling water. So I started pouring boiling water down it. It took several teakettles full before it started running as it should. But it has worked great for the past couple of years. And we used the boiling water to get my mother-in-laws kitchen sink to drain. All you spend is just a bit of time boiling the water.

If it's slow and not actually stopped up, pour 12 oz of bleach down the drain, let it sit undisturbed for about 5 hours. Flush it out well with very hot water--boiling if you can. You'll be amazed.
EDIT:It occurs to me those numbers seem very specific. They're just what sticks in my head from the first time I read this. What I actually do is just (carefully) pour a bunch down the drain without really measuring, then let it sit overnight--with the door closed so the cats don't get into it.

Put a half cup of baking soda down the drain, and then pour in a few cupfuls of white vinegar. The foaming reaction will help to clean up the clog and will not damage the pipes. Have a good day!

take a water hose and put it down the drain and take something like a big plastic bag and place it around the opening and around the hose and hold it tightly so that nothing can come up and out of the drain, while you do that have someone turn the water hose on and hold it untile the presser of the water clears the drain.just dont put to much water presser in the pipe or it may burst.

Depends on what you think is in the drain. Grease clog....boiling water and dish detergent. Paper products....baking soda. Hair.....a coat hanger. (Very disgusting though).
