You will need a witness to get married in Las Vegas - depending on the chapel you choose, they may be able to organise this for you. Speak to each of the chapels direct if you think this could be a problem for you.

The official carrying out your wedding ceremony has 10 days to register your marriage - you can then pay $10 to the Clark County Recorders Office to get a copy of your certificate. You can do it in person, or send by post.

The link below lets you browse every chapel in Vegas. I've also added a link for the Recorders Office.

I just did this back in June. You can get your marriage license right away and get married the same day if you like. The justice center is open 24 hours on the weekend and until midnight during the week for the marriage license. You do need a witness but you don't have to bring one along. The chapels provide a witness to sign the formalities of the paperwork. We got married at the Little White Chapel right on the strip. It was just me and him.

You get the certificate right before you go to the chapel. It takes about 5 minutes. I don't remember if you need a witness but anyone who is present can act as one.
