I loved Elvis Presley, I never met him but I was in Germany at the same time he was.
Music would fare just fine without Elvis. Music of all kinds go on, and on, and on.
If I had an elvis dvd I would pop it in and enjoy it right this minute.
I find it wierd and cultist to Idolize another human being.
That is except Jesus who was son of God, And son of man.
Elvis was an attractive person, a very talented artist, and, added much to the music industry.
Bach and Beethoven were cool too.

John Lennon once said "Before Elvis, there was nothing".
Elvis was a pioneer, and had a MAJOR impact on music. If only some of the talentless idiots around today would pay more attention to the King's legacy, music and performance would be ever so much better.

Elvis influenced many musicians that came after him,the Beatles being an example.Really don't know tho.Music has and always will be with us so it is somewhat hard to judge how one rock musician would have made a profound difference.

About the same as it is today. Not necessarily tryin' to slam Elvis, but with all the greats we've had in music, one loss is not going to change music. One style of music maybe, but not music.

Do believe he changed the music in every way, the style, the freedom to take chances, he was looked as , to ruin the youth.
