It depends where you're looking. If you are looking for a man your age then yeah, you're going to have a hard time. You either want to go pretty old in your search or pretty young, say 45 or younger. When a guy gets over 50, he's looking to feel young so he's looking for a woman 35 or younger. Remember, the average woman is going to outlive a man by 10-15 years so go ahead and find a guy 10-15 younger than yourself, it will come out even and the younger guy is not going to be so threatened by you--better sex too.

Unfortunately by 50 the greater longevity for females has kicked in and yes, a lot of men are dead by that age. There are still decent guys around, tho. My granddad must have had like 15 or 20 nice widows chasing him around even into his 80's.

You have to think that most of the men who would be in there 50's had to go to Vietnam, and have passed years before there time. The others are just not interested in women there own age.

Tell me about it! I had one and he decided he 'needs his space' after 4 years together. Now I'm having the hardest time finding a decent man...I'm 59 years old and have a lot to offer buth all they seem to want is sex! I think they have dropped off the face of the earth! Good Luck to both of us!

I think it's harder for women over 50 to find available decent man because men over 50 are looking for younger women, and because women live longer than men there are more available women.

I don't find it hard. If you look in your own age group they're probably on their last legs , at the allotments or in the public library.
