Why are there so few Asian Models in America?

Question

I subscribe to alot of fashion magazines, and i stay very up to
date on current fashion trends. However i have noticed there are
extremely few Asian Models.. I see an increasing number
of Latin , Italian and Black models but few Asians...

It strikes me as strange because Asian women are beautiful!
I am mostly speaking of East Asian,

but i see even fewer Middle Eastern Models if any
whom are also very beautiful-in fact you never
see any Middle Eastern women in movies-i saw
one in Hidalgo i think, they usually get a white or
latin girl to play one, i would rather see more racial
diversity what do you think?

Yes racial diversity is great......but some cultures a modle is like the lowest on the totem pole. Such as arabic women. im sure u know about their culture.....cover up all exposed skin. As far as asian models in the industry i think its a height issue....not a cultural or the fact that they arent beautiful enough. to be a model u have to be tall extremely tall for a woman and i think thats why it is so hard to find them in the industry.

It's true, I think modelling agencies want to stay "safe" because they don't know how the world would react to more Asian models. But I have seen Asian models as well as actresses on the rise nowadays more than ever so I guess that is a good thing.

Asian women are very beautiful. But most American models are tall. That's part of it. But it's true that there isn't as much racial diversity as there should be. It's getting better. They used to dress white people up as indians rather than use indians in westerns.

because there are models that are hotter that are not asain. some asians are hot, but not as much as other racess
