It's my first one (I think). If you are going to tell me "Go see a doctor, even if there may not be something wrong" then don't answer this. My period kinda looks like poop, and I don't know if that is natural or not. I am using one of my sister's pads and it doesn't really soak up the brownish black stuff. No I am not pregnant either. It is also a little sticky and kinda chunky but not like poop just the color of it. Help?!?!

The deal with no doctors, is that my mom doesn't have any insurance and she will take me to the doctor and then she will have to pay for it because we don't have insurance, and then we will lose our house that we just bought. We can barely afford any food!! My dad just had a stroke so it's not like she is getting and child support.

What is happening is you are passing blood clots , which is normal . The brown stuff is just old blood. Nothing to worry about, unless you are having SEVERE cramping .

Pinky, I sent you an email with a link so you can see that what you're experiencing is normal.

Since your dad is disabled, your mom should qualify for Medicaid or other type of health insurance that will pay for your doctor visits if you should happen to get sick, break an arm, etc.

Medicaid will become in effect within a few days after your mom applies for it. If your mom agrees you need to see a doctor, you can be checked out and will know for sure.

Everything you mention sure sounds normal to me, especially since you're a "new kid on the block" at having a period. Don't forget, your body is learning to adjust to new hormones and everything else (and you are, too!).

Don't forget to check out the link I sent to you! :-)

It can be old blood, especially since you haven't seen a period yet. It's somewhat natural but truly the best advice is to see a doctor.

Check the yellow pages or contact your local health department for more information on Medicaid and free or income based clinics. Some call it indigent care.

I wish you and your family the best.

Sounds like you may be releasing some old blood and perhaps some clots. You should have an older female take a look.
