Tim...wow, what you said, apart from the "free will" part, really made me think! That was deep.

Neither. Reality exists all around us, and we are part of reality; we are the created, not the creators. At the same time, we have free will, and are not mere "robots."

Short and simple answer, yes and no. Human beings are creators of culture, which is a continuously self-created, symbolic reality. However, we are also material and biological, as these are our building blocks. In the same way that you piece together matter in a certain way to then create life (the biological), you piece together living beings in a certain way and another level of "reality" is created, this being culture, which is specifically human. Our input is genetic, but as cultural beings, we have the ability to override and alter these instructions. Our genetic input is also incomplete, as human beings are at birth, unfinished. The cultural experience is an open system, whereas the genetic or stricly biological experience (i.e. animal and plant life) is a closed system.

So yes, we are constantly creating and re-creating our own reality, but of course our evolution is rooted in the more programmed material and biological levels of being, which are ruled by physical and biological law respectfully.

That depends on how you react to your situation. If you just react the same way all the time then you are basically a robot. If you react differently each time than you have no preprogrammed response so therefore you are not a robot. Our free will keeps us from becoming robots if we use it properly! Don't
get sucked in to tradition.. cause that's just a sneaky way of society to create puppets for
it's own end!

We create our own reality because reality only exists in our perception. That is thru our senses. We evaluate our inputs and respond according to our personal value indexes. The indexes are developed from our experience as to what gets us our desired reward. Therefore we do respond as programmed, its just that our program is not necessarily logical.

We create our own reality (in my opinion). Assume you face a situation where five handgrenades are thrown into an area with you and your buddies. A conditioned response would be to run like heck, and some people would do that. Another response would be to gather them under your body and sacrifice yourself for your buds. That has also happened in past wars.

So each individual has the power to choose their own repsonses, again, in my opinion.

We arent programmed . but it is known what creatures like us will do
if they are hungry they will eat .. but they can choose the food .. What food will they choose ? depend on where they are born
where are they born ? because 2 else made choices which will lead that you will be born in us

God knows what is going to happen becaue he knows what we will choose .. but still we can choose ..
if you threw a dog a bone he can choose to take it or leave it .. but he probably take it .. right ?? .. you didnt program him to take it .. he choose it !
