I want to build a little shed type thing in my back yard that I can put a couch inside... I don't really know how to build things very well... We just want a lil place we can hang out, smoke and drink in and not have anyone bother us... Something small, made outta wood, with a door, doesnt need windows... We're thinking we'll make it out of wood, but if anyone has a better suggestion, feel free to tell me... I need to know how to make a lil shed, where to start? tips on how to build it...

Build a wood frame and sheet with corrugated steel, walls and roof. Just set four posts in concrete, connect on three, or four sides, with 2x4's running horizontally 24" on center. In a rainy climate you want some pitch on the roof.
Set pavers for a floor.

I live in Ireland and where it basicly is both cold and rainy all day long. We get maybe 16 good days each year where the weather is sunny enough, and even though I've been asking for it, I always get really tired and lazy. I supposed a cold and rainy location isnt that bad. Its really about whatever your used to

I believe you can buy screened in portable lanai's for about as much as it would cost to PROPERLY build the same structure yourself. You'd be protected from the elements and screened in from mosquitoes, flys, etc and it would be storable in the winter. Hope that this helps you.

Don't.

Buy an old cheap van.

Park it in the yard.

Bingo - you have a shed

you should just go and buy one. you can buy sheds that are already made.if you don't really know how to build one you shouldn't take the chance and then end up screwing it up. either buy one already made or hire someone to make it for you.
