Classical, traditional, and medieval Astrologers do not use the outer planets: Uranus, Neptune and Pluto in their delineations, modern Astrologers utilize them.
Whether or not Pluto is classified as planet or not is irrelevant to modern practitioners of Astrology. The qualities associated with Pluto: power, control, transformation and the destroying or reforming urge, are still applicable whether it is called a planet or an ice dwarf.
Scorpio is co-ruled by Mars and Pluto. That will not change.
Astrologers use other bodies in addition to planets in our calculations, such as asteroids. Ceres, an asteroid, one of the bodies they may call a planet, already is in use by modern Astrologers. Other asteroids currently being used are Juno, Pallas, and Vesta. Chiron, a centaur, is also extensively in use.
In summary, it makes do difference to what Pluto is classified as, the characteristics associated with it still stand.

I don't think it was cause much of an imbalance for Scorpio's for this reason. Even if it's "not technically" a planet, it was still in that certain position when a said Scorpio was born. For instance, all the starts in the sky, moons, etc, aren't planets and they all effect the astrology of each/every person. Also, what does it really matter that Pluto is what they refer to as a "dwarf planet" ... when Leo is ruled by the sun? It really doesn't matter how they refer to it, it's still there and all the stars, moons, planets, & sun were aligned a certain way when everyone was born and no matter what these things are "called" ... it doesn't change anything.
That's my opinion. :)
Also, I think it's amazing that Pluto was "demoted", if you will, because that shows ME that all of our astronomers are discovering things they didn't realize existed. The vast thing that space is, amazes me and I'm happy that Pluto was "relocated", lol, to it's real home, which is obviously ... another star. :)

Saying good-bye to Pluto is like kicking your loved one. We all grew up to learn the planets and there purpose in space. Losing Pluto upsets me and adding other to the list, well that doesn't mean make more room. Because I am sure more planets are being discovered. Does that mean the end of Venus too? These planets play a role in our physical element and is important to keep it the way it is.

While it is rather sad to give up the knowledge of Pluto being a planet and to have to shift my reality, it is better for all of us that scientific reasoning prevail over emotion. Our awareness of the world is becoming more complex so having a category for small planet types with unusual rotation patterns around their star makes sense.

its not a planet. its a freaking dwarf planet, which isnt technically a planet. and you probably just turned on the news when they said that its not a real planet, and youre a loser because you actually believed the news. please. the last time i checked they also said that smoking caused lung disease. you know what? why dont you go, take your lime green hatchback, and fly on over to pluto, and find out if its a planet?

I think that's stupid. Why the heck do they think that way now? They had a chance to millions of years ago, and now, when kids try to remember it, instead of
My - Mercury
Very - Venus
Energetic - Earth
Mother - Mars
Just - Jupiter
Served - Saturn
Us - Uranus
Nine - Neptune
Pizzas - Pluto
It would have to sound like something stupider than that.
