Why don't the richest 5% of the nation share the wealth?

I mean all of the money has been made in this country! It is rumored that 5% of the population controls 90% of our money!! What is their purpose and do they have a plan for the rest of us, or to just let us die off with outrageous healthcare cost, cost of living, insurance, education, etc..people are doing ridiculous things just to survive. Is this a part of the Illuminati or whatever?

The world has 499 Billionaires. Of those, 60% are American. That is just about 300 me thinks! If these individuals, never mind a paltry Millionaire, were to say even the playing field a little then they would not be special now would they?

Actually, a lot of them do donate large sums to charity. Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, and Ted Turner are 3 familiar examples. They also pay a disproportionate share of taxes.

But a direct transfer may not be the best way for the wealthiest people to help their country. Investing their money in technology or new ventures can have ripple effects in the economy, creating new jobs or new conveniences, raising the standard of living for everyone.

I started with nothing. I went to public school, went to a state college, taught, worked with computers, got an MBA, never made more than $55K per year in my life.

I retired just short of my 53rd birthday, with enough money for the rest of my life. I EARNED every penny I've got.

You have no right to take what I've earned. The Constitution says I have the right to Life, Liberty and PROPERTY. If you can show me where it says that you have a right to any of my PROPERTY, I might change my mind. But I doubt that you can.

Find something useful that you can do with your life that someone is willing to PAY you for. That's how to get what you want from life.

Do you think they became wealthy by being generous? They worked hard for their money too and do not have to be charitable at all. It's not their fault that the nation is suffering , All the lazy people need to get off their asses and get a job and make some money and stop complaining! If you do have a job and do not make enough go get another job or get a second job so you can succeed! That's how you get rich in life. Some people may say " we should tax the wealthy more" That's a great idea tax them so they could spend their fortune somewhere else like europe or Japan and not make this economy move! Get a Life!

Because that is called COMMUNISM. They worked hard to get that money and most of them ARE helping the worlds poor. Everyone should get taxed exactly the same amount no matter what. If you don't like it just move to China ,or North Korea where they pay everyone about the same amount. People in North Korea are starving to death. The way I heard it is that Warren Buffet recently pledged 85% of his entire fortune to charity via the Gates Foundation, because he figured that Bill Gates would be the best at distributing it where it will do the most good.
